"So So."
I got this stick last year and I would have to say that its pretty good. The plastic is a bit hard but it hasn't had any major cracks, and I do check alot. (Especially just playing around with my friends.) I has a few small cracks which are more like scratches though. I would say the value is pretty good although I boutght it for a way over priced price. I got it for about $90 when I should have gotten it around $50. The biggest problem I have with it is probally the catching. Its so flat that the ball bounces out. So if you plan on catching alot don't get it. I also have a problem with the weight. Its very heavy, and not very accurate. But as defender the weight and accurisy doesn't make that much of a differnce. Its very stiff too. Scooping up balls is quite easy to me since the stck doesn't bend when you scoop. Its a great beginer Stick. So if your a beginer Defender get it!

"A Bit of Everything"
The Echo was my first stick. I used it for two years before I bought a STX Surge. The Echo has its pluses and minuses. Good news first: it was sweet for checking and ground balls. It was decent for passing, not so good for shooting, and pretty terrible for catching. It had barely any pocket at all, the sidewalls are so high. It was a real tennis raquet in that sense. The only good thing about that was, after learning to catch with the Echo, now that I have a better stick I can catch anything and everything within a stick's length of me. So I think it's a great stick for beginners-- if you can learn to catch with this stick, you'll be awesome with any other stick. One warning: don't buy a clear head, they'll break within a week, guaranteed.

"Good beginner's/intermediate stick"
By that I mean, I originally played with a Hattersley's Anniversay (I play in England, I think it's a cranbarry hi-score) I played for 3 years from when I was 13-15/16 and gave up for my sixth form. I picked up Lax again at university and wanted to try again with a plastic stick. As someone picking lax up again it's fab to use. However, as I bought a Gemstone Ruby (which I now regret) and the head broke after a month's use. As it was under guarantee I got a new one. The normal series is fantastically durable and is a great defense stick. But as an offensive stick, the accuracy and power behind it is by no means as great as the STX Impact. As I now want to move on I shall be buying either a Brine Synergy and Tenacity. It's fab for the intermediate player. But as I'm an old school player, I still feel that core stick skills should be learnt using a wooden stick as you can fine tune an dhone your skills before you move onto something a bit more advanced.

"stx echo "
I got it when I first started, and it did good for a beginner, but as my skill improved it did not adequately suit my needs. I played with it about one season and could not stand it anymore. Mine had an awful ball rattle, was hard to scoop and catch. It is a good stick to start out with if you aren't sure you're gonna stick with the sport, but for higher levels of play you definitely need a nicer stick.

"Mixed Bag"
I had a STX T-92 for my first year and half of my second until it broke when two people checked me in the same place. I went to a store and bought the Echo it's a good stick, durable and easy to handle the ball. It has a deep throat so it is not have deep pocket like the brine synergy. Cradling is easier because of the deep throat but then catching is harder because the lack of depth to the pocket. I would say it is a mixed bag, if you're a defense this would be an excellent stick because of the durability.
