"Great Head. Great Value."
About halfway through the regular season, I decided to get a new stick set-up so I could have a backup stick. After doing some research, I narrowed my choices down to the STX Bionic and the deBeer Intrepid. Now a lot of the guys I know have the Bionic and I wanted to have something that performed well, but wasn't so much of the norm. I also had a budget to meet. I heard good things about the Intrepid and looking at the price, I was impressed. So I went to my local LaxWorld and looked at the Intrepid. Definately a hot look and a nice moderate offset design. I decided to buy it and strung it with soft mesh. It definately played well through the rest of the season, but at the beginning of summer league, I thought putting a harder mesh in would put a little more power in my shot. I use it now with mid-monster mesh on my Warrior C405 and it is light, durable, and shoots like a charm. The multiple stringing holes let you mess around with the pocket until it's just right for you. The pinch is nice, could be slightly more pinched, but the ball control isn't much of a problem. I would recommend this head to anyone who has a tight budget and needs a fresh new stick. I don't know about other areas, but in my county, I only saw one other deBeer head, which I thought was kind of weird since deBeer is a good company. Anyway, if you don't want to jump on the STX Bionic or Proton bandwagon, check out the Intrepid, it's definately worth the money.
"Its the best"
This is my favorite stick. It has great ball control and perfect pinch. Stiff as a rock its great I've had mine for 6 months and been playing all the time and hasn't even broken a scratch.
